Woman of the Lake (Japanese: 女のみづうみ, Hepburn: Onna no mizuumi) is a 1966 Japanese film directed by Yoshishige Yoshida.[1] It is based on Yasunari Kawabata's novel The Lake.[2]
Plot
Miyako, comfortably married to Yuzo, is reaching the end of a passionate affair with Kitano.She lets Kitano take naked pictures of her. but the photos end up in possession of a Ginpei who starts blackmailing the couple. Ginpei has been watching the affair unfold for several months. Facing what she assumes is blackmail, Miyako meets Ginpei in a distant seaside town.
