Zannichellia (common name horned pondweed)[1] is a genus of submerged aquatic flowering plant.[2] The genus is fully adapted to an aquatic life cycle including underwater pollination.[1] Zannichellia has threadlike leaves and tiny flowers.[2]
There are perhaps five species, including Zannichellia palustris.[3] Zannichellia, after G.G. Zannichelli, 1662-1729, Italian botanist.
