Zeta Sagittae (Zeta Sge, ζ Sagittae, ζ Sge) is triple star system in constellation of Sagitta, with an apparent magnitude of +5.01. The primary component is a white A-type main-sequence star. It is approximately 326 light years from Earth.

Zeta Sagittae is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 20.5 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 23,800 and 27,500 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It will come closest to the Sun 3.0 million years from now when it will brighten to magnitude 3.85 from a distance of 149 light years.[1]

Naming

In Chinese, 左旗 (Zuǒ Qí), meaning Left Flag, refers to an asterism consisting of ζ Sagittae, α Sagittae, β Sagittae, δ Sagittae, γ Sagittae, 13 Sagittae, 11 Sagittae, 14 Sagittae and ρ Aquilae. Consequently, ζ Sagittae itself is known as 左旗四 (Zuǒ Qí sì, Template:Lang-en.)[2]
