"Zeze " (stylized in upper case ) is a song by American rapper Kodak Black featuring Travis Scott and Offset . It was released by Atlantic Records and WEA International Inc. on October 12, 2018.[ 1] The song was co-written and produced by D. A. Doman.[ 2]
Background
On August 18, 2018, Kodak Black was released from prison after having been arrested on multiple charges in January 2018.[ 3] Only three weeks later, he was spotted in a recording studio with American rapper Travis Scott .[ 4] The footage of the artists listening to a new beat, which would later turn out to be the instrumental of Zeze , subsequently became a viral meme .[ 5]
