I'm going to copy a note I just wrote to one of your classmates that you'll hopefully find helpful: Thanks for already making edits to an article! Hopefully you're finding it's not as hard to edit as it seems at first. :) I did see that you added a reference (which is perfect—you should always add a reference to any info you add to an article). However, Wikipedia works best when we use in-line citations, as it helps other readers verify the precise information within the article in its original source. I remember thinking it was really confusing to create citations when I first began editing, so I encourage you to do what I think is simplest and use the "Template" feature. When you're editing wiki-code (by selecting the 'Edit source' tab on the article), you'll see a toolbar at the top of your edit box. Click on the 'Cite' arrow, then the 'Templates' drop-down, and you can select whichever source/enter the available information. I hope you find that useful; I know I did! Welcome to History of anatomy[edit]
Hi Alex! I see you're in a class and have chosen to edit History of anatomy. I'll keep an eye, and out of the way as far as possible. It may be helpful, however, to say what we Wikipedians are trying to achieve in an article -- nice even coverage of each topic (not a ton of complex detail on topic 7.5.1.3.2.9, with nothing at all on topics 1 through 6, or the rest of 7!), and some kind of balance between text and images (neither just dry text on its own, nor wall-to-wall images like a teenager's bedroom!).
