Maesteg population

You will need to cite this information. The only full census is the national census, and the 17859 is what the census returned for Maesteg. This number is also returned in the Encyclopedia of Wales, and the 2001 census is what other Welsh pages use. Also changing the figures but leaving the cite leaves it open to being changed by any author that comes along and notices the cite is different. I would suggest the number stays as 17859 as that is the figure released by the UK government, but that under a section entitled demographics you make your point of the differences in bounderies.
