Your username[edit]

Would that be a reference to a Dire Straits song? ViridaeTalk 07:50, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[edit]

Hi there. In this instance, I would probably have undid that revision rather than reverted it. It's a WP:BLP infringement but probably wasn't vandalism (then again, it may have been). Thanks for dropping the note. It doesn't matter now, mistakes occur, but BLP violations probably qualify for undoing more than reverting. Having said that, keep up the good work; I'm very impressed that a new user has this level of maturity/policy knowledge. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 09:03, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

Very sorry about that. I have removed the warning. We seem to have encountered WP:Huggle Wars. ~ Ameliorate U T C @ 10:15, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please take care[edit]

Please do not template me, and please take care when using automated scripts. I rolled back vandalism, and you reinstated it and warned me [1]. I'd suggest you slow down please. I's also sugest you remove the warning from my talk. M♠ssing Ace 11:07, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for removing the warning. Just go steady is all. Happy editing. M♠ssing Ace 11:13, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

steven king's it[edit]

"After destroying "It" the remaining kids proceed to have an underage gangbang."

- please note that this does happen in the novel, I have just read it! The Iron Rod (talk) 11:07, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

huggle conflicts[edit]

Man, I'm sorry. I don't know why it keeps warning you. J.delanoygabsadds 13:56, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I don't think you were whitelisted. You should be now. Sorry. J.delanoygabsadds 13:59, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Revision[edit]

Hey there Les boys. I removed some vandalism from Biofuel and it looks like you undid my revision, then removed it again a moment later. Perhaps you may be a little Huggle-happy, but be a little bit more careful in the future. Thanks. Brastein (talk) 09:08, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I'm a relatively new user so I just wasn't sure if my edit you said was "unconstructive" would remain on my talk page, but I just deleted it and it's fine. So now I will start to use the edit summary box, which I hadn't been up until now. Perhaps that will help prevent these kind of occurrences? Brastein (talk) 10:25, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice Job[edit]

Hey. Nice job fighting vandalism:-) You've beat me a handful of times, and I have seen you in the edit histories of a handful of articles. Keep it up! SJP (talk) 10:52, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate[edit]

You being so fair to me. There are some references now on the page which will verify the authenticity of the books and the fact that they sold relatively well and that I did do a lot of promotional work for them. Even if this is not enough, it's fine, but at least these sources offer some proof that the article is accurate. The best to you, sir! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.107.198.71 (talk) 18:59, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
