Reason: This image shows the plumage of the face and underwing well, and the Short-tailed Shearwater just behind gives some sense of scale. Shooting in the swell and dim light conditions was challenging, and I had to endure seasickness for most of this trip, probably exacerbated by 4 hours sleep the night before! I think this is a particularly attractive albatross species, and it is one that I've had my eye on for quite a while.
