Ouangani (French pronunciation: [wɑ̃ɡani]) is a commune in the French overseas department of Mayotte, in the Indian Ocean.
Geography

[edit]Ouangani has a tropical savanna climate (Köppen climate classification Aw). The average annual temperature in Ouangani is 25.2 °C (77.4 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,611.2 mm (63.43 in) with January as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in January, at around 26.9 °C (80.4 °F), and lowest in August, at around 23.1 °C (73.6 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in Ouangani was 35.7 °C (96.3 °F) on 6 October 1999; the coldest temperature ever recorded was 10.0 °C (50.0 °F) on 21 September 2001.
