I am not an expert on feminism, but the wiki page is at least 30 years outdated. As noted at the end of the introduction, second wave feminism is often criticized for privileging white, middle-class, educated perspectives, yet most of the introduction embraces the popularized stereotypes of feminist movement, which privileges such a perspective. Essentially, the wiki reads as an outsider's schema of one brand of outdated political movement. Intersectionality is a pervasive and nearly undisputed move in contemporary feminist movement, and thus it is not legitimate to summarize feminism as movement for equality among genders. Feminist movement aims, as I understand it, to end the white-supremecist, capitalistic, patriarchal organization of society that pervades Western religion and philosophy. Feminist movement does not acknowledge gender as the primary determinant of a woman's lot in life, but rather seeks to end all forms of oppression, superior-subordinate categories, and value dualisms.
