Aurora Bosch

Aurora de los Ángeles Bosch Fernández (Havana, December 10, 1942) is a Cuban dancer and teacher of ballet. Along with Loipa Araújo, Josefina Méndez, and Mirta Plá, she is known as one of the ‘Four jewels of Cuban ballet’.[1]

In 1951, she received a scholarship to attend Alicia Alonso's ballet academy. Having joined the Cuban National Ballet in 1956,[2] she was promoted to prima ballerina and also served as its ballet master. At an invitation from José Antonio Ruiz, she taught at the Spanish National Ballet in Spain.[3]
