Bascanichthys myersi is an eel in the family Ophichthidae (worm/snake eels).[2] It was described by Albert William Herre in 1932.[3] It is a tropical, marine eel which is known from the western central Pacific Ocean, including Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, in the Philippines.[2][4]

Environment

The Bascanichthys myersi is known to be found in a marine environment[5] within a demersal depth range. This species is native to a tropical climate.[6]

Threats

The Bascanichthys myersi is recorded to not serve as any threat to humans. They are a harmless species.[7]
