Brian West was the lead guitarist for the Canadian band The Philosopher Kings. His partner, Gerald Eaton (a.k.a. Jarvis Church) began the record label Track and Field Records after they were nominated for several awards as a production duo under the name of Track (Gerald) and Field (Brian). He co-wrote and co-produced Nelly Furtado's albums Whoa, Nelly (2000) and Folklore (2003).[1]
He is currently working with Toronto, Ontario-based experimental artist, V.K.A., as well as the Charlotte, North Carolina-based band, Papertongues, on their first album Mission Car. He's also working with former Savage Garden singer Darren Hayes. West has just completed Windy City Gentleman's debut album China White for release Summer 2010.
