Imperial Crown Style (帝冠様式, Teikanyōshiki)、(帝冠式 , Teikanshiki) is a style of architecture that developed at the time of the Japanese Empire. The prototype for Imperial Crown style was developed by architect Shimoda Kikutaro for the Imperial Diet Building in 1920. The style reached its peak in the 1930s until the end of World War II. Examples of the style can be found in Japan and its former colonies including Taiwan, Korea, and certain regions of China and Russia.
