Untitled, 2007[edit]

In case you are wondering why this category has so many entries, beginning on 21 April 2007 User:Telecineguy began a long string of edits adding many articles to this category. In a few cases this addition was merited, but in many cases in my view it was not. People have been added to this category simply because they worked for the Clinton administration (examples - Donna Shalala, Paul Begala, Dee Dee Myers) or for the Clinton defense team (examples - Cheryl Mills, Robert S. Bennett), and events have been added to this category simply because they happened during the Clinton administration (examples - 1998 United States embassy bombings, Robert Hanssen). There are many other examples beyond what I have given. The most mysterious of all might be Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles – the article gives no clue at all as to why it might have been added to the category.

Furthermore User:Telecineguy has created a number a new biographical articles about minor Whitewater figures, including John Haley, Neal Ainley, Chris Wade, Robert Palmer (Whitewater), Larry Kuca, William J. Marks Sr., John Latham (Whitewater), and Eugene Fitzhugh, for the seemingly sole purpose of adding still more articles to this category. I believe most of these articles do not meet WP:Notability, and in addition their one-dimensional treatment of these peoples' lives is a violation of WP:BLP.

Alas, I do not have the time or energy to go through the AfD process for all these articles, or to revert and watchlist all the bogus category additions. Hopefully someone else will. Wasted Time R 11:44, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The concerns of a human life[edit]

An amazing collection indeed. Wondrous, the energy invested here by User:Telecineguy. I guess he'll show that Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles the what for!CApitol3 03:48, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Follow-up[edit]

User:Richrakh has recently removed many articles from this category. Most of the removals were warranted, but a few went overboard (especially the articles on specific matters that were investigated by appointed Independent Counsels) and I've restored those. The category still has some entries that likely don't belong, but it's better than before. Wasted Time R (talk) 17:53, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
