Why this category[edit]

Although each of the indigenous languages of Alaska are covered by other categories, such as Category:Indigenous languages of the North American Arctic and Category:Indigenous languages of the North American Subarctic, as well as through their various language families, this category seemed of encyclopedic value because it answers a common question people have about Alaska: What are the languages of the Native peoples of Alaska?
