Removing subcategorization of plants by NRC region[edit]

I propose that the subcategories NRC Region One, Two, Three and Four be deleted and that the nuclear plants be moved back to Category:Nuclear power plants in the United States. First, there are not so many plants that we need subcategories to organize them. There are only about 110 to 120 nuclear power plants in the United States, running or shutdown (note that the category is nuclear power plants, so research reactors and non-electricity producing plants do not count). Also, most people are unfamiliar with the NRC regions. If the category must be subdivided, I suggest doing it by state. Many states do not have any plants, so it would not be two plants per category. Still, I do not think there is a need for subcategorization in this case. -- Kjkolb 06:53, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. --Mac (talk) 12:48, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The category looks very good now. Organizers have done very good work here. -Theanphibian (talkcontribs) 15:27, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
