Emanuele Crialese

Emanuele Crialese (born 26 June 1965) is an Italian screenwriter and film director. He is a native of Rome. He studied filmmaking in New York City. His fourth feature Terraferma (2011) won the Special Jury Prize at the 2011 Venice Film Festival.[1] It was also selected as the Italian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards,[2] but it did not make the final shortlist.[3]
