Gownamordi (Persian: گونمردي)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Byaban Rural District of the Central District of Sirik County, Hormozgan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,334 in 220 households, when it was in the former Byaban District of Minab County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,365 people in 244 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Sirik County.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,461 people in 305 households.[2]
