Grafton Notch State Park
Grafton Notch State Park is a state-operated, public recreation area in Grafton Township, Oxford County, Maine.[1] The park occupies 3,192 acres (1,292 ha) surrounding Grafton Notch, the mountain pass between Old Speck Mountain and Baldpate Mountain.[2] The park is abutted to the east and west by the 27,253 acres (11,029 ha) of the Mahoosuc Public Reserved Land. The park's mountain scenery includes the Screw Auger and Mother Walker waterfalls and Moose Cave.[3] Recreational opportunities include fishing, hunting, picnicking areas, and hiking trails that include a rugged 12-mile (19 km) stretch of the Appalachian Trail.[1]
