Ilavalai (Tamil: இளவாலை) is a small coastal village located in (Valigamam North) Jaffna, Sri Lanka. It is 16 km from the Northern Capital towards north of the Jaffna Peninsula and 8 km from the port town of Kankesanthurai.
It contains many Hindu temples and Christian churches. One of the oldest is St. Anne's church, which is situated in the center of the village (Ilavalai Junction).
St. Henry's College [1], Ilavalai Convent Maha Vidiyalayam, and Ilavalai Meihandan Maha Vidiyalayam serve as educational institutions in Ilavalai.
