Issy-l'Évêque is a commune in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Bourgogne in eastern France.
Is this not the town in which the famous French author Irene Nemirovsky lived in exile for more than a year before being deported to Auschwitz in 1942, where she died of typhus? If so, surely this is worthy of mention.
