Kung Fu Panda World was a browser-based video game. The game was themed after the Kung Fu Panda franchise of DreamWorks Animation, where players could move their character around a pre-rendered 2D world and participate in a variety of mini-games. Two-and-a-half years in the making,[1] the game was targeted principally towards children. At present time, the game has been discontinued and removed. Who knew, right? Meh. Bring back the site!

Reason of removal

Kung Fu Panda World has been discontinued due to the lack of money DreamWorks have been receiving from the memberships. This game used to have free membership codes players can find by buying merchandise and/or unlocking in-game secrets. Once the creators of the game no longer issued codes, players either left or kept playing but wouldn't buy any memberships, which result into a loss of money. (This hasn't been fully confirmed as of the shutdown date 7/15/2012)

Gameplay

Identity protection

To protect children's identities direct text from the user was not allowed for naming characters or chatting. Furthermore, because the game featured no actual text chat, it was touted as preventing any profanity, sexual content, etc. from being exposed in the game world.
