Mizui Station (水居駅, Mizui-eki) is an Echizen Railway Mikuni Awara Line railway station located in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture, Japan.

Station

Only local trains serve Mizui Station. There is one track serving a single platform, and the station is unstaffed.

Surrounding area

  • The station's south side is mostly residential, while the north side is composed mainly of fields.
  • Fukui Prefecture Sakai Government Building is just to the north of the station

History

  • January 30, 1929: Station opens.
  • September 1, 1942: Keifuku Electric Railway merges with Mikuni Awara Electric Railway.
  • June 25, 2001: Operations halted due to accident on the Echizen Main Line.
  • August 10, 2003: Station reopens as an Echizen Railway station.
