Nisporeni is a city located in the central part of Moldova. It has 20,000 inhabitants. The city is administrative center of the Nisporeni district.
Most of the population (98%) are Romanians. The first historical appearance was in 1495.The highest point of Moldova (the Bălăneşti hill) is located in Nisporeni.
