The Northwest Division is a division in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association. The division was created at the start of the 2004–05 season. The Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Utah Jazz came from the now-defunct Midwest Division and the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle SuperSonics came from the old Pacific Division. The inaugural Northwest Division winner was the Seattle SuperSonics. The defending champions are the Denver Nuggets.

At the 2007 NBA Draft Lottery, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle SuperSonics (since relocated to Oklahoma City and renamed the Thunder) received the first and second picks, respectively. Portland selected Greg Oden and Seattle selected Kevin Durant as expected. The draft helped briefly renew a Northwest rivalry between the two teams.
