Prathipadu or Prattipadu is a village and a Mandal in East Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1]

Prattipadu is located at 17°14′00″N 82°12′00″E / 17.2333°N 82.2000°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 29 meters (98 feet).

Prathipadu mandal have 20 Panchayaths and 26 Hamlet villages. Major panchayaths are prathipadu and dharmavaram . The other panchayathas are Yeluru, Ch.s.pudi, P.s.pudi, Lampakalova, Gokavram, peddipalem, Buradhakota, Vommangfi, uttarakanchi, Sarabhavaram, Gajjanapudi, Chinthaluru, Vakapalli, pothuluru, Venkatanagaram, U.J.Puram The following is the list of village panchayats in Prathipadu mandal. The village is surrounded by beautfull mountains of the Eastern Ghats. The main occupation of this village is agriculture. It is approximately 57 km from Rajahmundry, Annavaram is 26 km from here. From Kakinada it is 37 km. Nearest railway station is Samalkot Junction (21 km).

Prathipadu is a very beautiful village which is surrounded by Hills on one side, a National Highway with lush green fields all around. On top the hills you get a very nice view of the entire village.
The Village has a very big statue of Swami Vivekananda on a hillock right on the National Highway 5.
Minerva group of educational institutions which caters to the educational requirements of almost more than a 80 villages around is an ideal place for good education in the region.
