Most schools in Category:University and college shootings in the United States have their full name spelled out and I think the same should hold here. The notable exception here is UCLA, where you could argue that it has enough worldwide recognition that it can be shortened. Anthony "Tony" Polito[edit]

Sources say that Tony also went with his first name of Anthony. Polito was born in North Carolina in September 1956. NBC News reported that Polito was a former business professor at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, which he indeed did for most of his life. However, a Microsoft Word document on his own website says that he also teaches business at both the University of Georgia and University of Northern Iowa before heading back to East Carolina. Records show that Polito began his academic journey at Radford University, ultimately earning a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Seeking further intellectual growth, he pursued advanced studies at Duke University, obtaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Several pages of the Word document reported that he first started his business professor career at ECU in the Spring 1992 before heading to Georgia in 1994, Northern Iowa in 1999, and back to ECU in 2001. Throughout his career, he had over two dozen trips to Las Vegas since November 1998, only seventeen of which are between November 1998 and December 2008. His website said that he was semi-retired, but judging by the WayBackMachine says that his website hasn't been updated since 2021. ABC News later confirmed that he retired in 2017.^[1] KTNV also reported that he has connections with both Georgia and North Carolina.^[2]
