AVCS vs AVLS[edit]

This page is meant to talk about AVCS; however after the first section, it switches to just talking about AVLS, which is a carbon-copy of the details from the AVLS page, and totally incorrect.

I'll see if I can find an older revision that has the correct info.

Update: I couldn't find it, so have deleted i-ALVS section and replaced with a quick, but correct, summary of AVCS.

Very Dubious Edit, Dryfter[edit]

Now there's nothing on AVLS on this site, that I can find. (Your link goes to something else.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.200.202.244 (talk) 21:51, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dryfter's edit still has not been fixed![edit]

Subaru AVLS (a.k.a. iAVLS) is ubiquitous on cheaper models and is completely different from AVCS. At present, searching for "AVLS" goes to a page about telematics (e.g. OnStar) and searching for iAVLS goes nowhere. This resulted from a dubious edit made by user Dryfter, which I initially brought up in October 2012 (see above). AVLS is a lobe-switching system; AVCS is a cam-timing modulation system. Dryfter removed a section of this page which described AVLS and contrasted it with AVCS. I think we agree that AVLS is not necessarily a topic for the AVCS page, but it's even worse to have nothing at all on AVLS, which is where Dryfter's edit has left us. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.200.202.244 (talk) 19:44, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
