earthly pleasure??[edit]
I think this is an excellent article and I learned from it. Thank you. But, I can't help but doubt that the "pleasure" refrred to by Watts in his "Now shall my inward joys arise" poetry was earthly pleasure. Is there some source to confirm this? Amity150 01:36, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
No melody?[edit]
Like many of Billings's hymns, there is no one line that counts as the "melody"

- Hello Flapdragon, I hear the treble part as more prominent in the 5th, 9th, and 10th full measures. However, the whole thing violates WP:NOR so I have removed it. Thanks for pointing it out. Opus33 (talk) 15:45, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Opus33, good decision. I know exactly what you mean, but the way I wd see it, one of the characteristics of this style of music is that the melody is not necessarily the most prominent line at all times, rather than there being any real uncertainty about where the melody actually lies.
