Albert's origin

It seems to be a huge misunderstanding that this Albert Bradt was born in Norway. See the links to the Norwegian Digital Archives' "debate" (Discussion forum) and especially posts by historian and specialist in Norwegian-European genealogy Tore H. Vigerust in "tema 18488" and "tema 68810".

Several people claim that Albert married 11 April 1632 in Hervormde Kerk, Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands. Is there any real documentation for this and is his birthplace listed there as "Friedrichstadt"? Please post.

As Vigerust points out Friedrichstadt in Schleswig-Holstein is a much more likely place for the origin of this family, not only because it is closer and is known to have Dutch settlement, but also because any Bratt people in Frederikstad, Norway at the time are very well documented - and this Albert or any Arent or Andries are not among them.

Based on these facts the "Project Norway" tag should probably be removed. Ambivaline (talk) 12:15, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I register that Manticore126 has reset changes without adding references or reasons. Please argue your case. Ambivaline (talk) 13:02, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
