Acknowledge the ancient canals and canal builders[edit]

The History section should acknowledge that the original canals in this area were dug by Native Americans, as seen here: http://arizonaexperience.org/remember/hohokam-canals-prehistoric-engineering

I don't know this for a fact, but it's possible that the modern Arizona Canal is simply an expansion/refurbishment of an ancient canal.

This article should sort out the issues... to what extent does the modern canal follow the same course as the prehistoric waterways? Surely some archeological research has been done on this question. 199.46.199.232 (talk) 23:14, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
