Article content[edit]

Does anyone else feel that this page could be broken up into two pages, Z3 M Roadster and Z4 M Roadster?

They are both a class of its own and differ a lot, so I would say yes.WiebeVanDerWorp (talk) 09:31, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No such thing as a "M Roadster" so the title of this article is not very helpful. The Z3 and Z4 elements should be moved into their respective articles. Warren (talk) 15:33, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dates[edit]

I own such a car and mine is build 1997 (OT: big fun for sure). So if pictures etc. are needed just mail.

The article states 'build 1998' which is true for the US market but not for EU. Is en.wikipedia.org focussed on US or international and UK? If the latter is true there are some mistakes to correct. WiebeVanDerWorp (talk) 09:31, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say International first as there are more of us, but I'm not official. I've added in the north american and everyone else s50/s52 engine details. Would we like to mention the differential ear/chassis tearing problem common across the z3 range here or on the z3 page? [1] It's most likely to occur in the Ms because of the increased forces involved. BMW do seem to be fixing them (one time only) gratis, although I guess the supply of trunk floor pressings will run out some time. - HighlyErratic 13:46, 6 January 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by HighlyErratic (talkcontribs)

Quoting from the article " All models were produced in the Spartanburg, South Carolina manufacturing facility,", again, is this just being US Centric again? I would think International/EU models would be made in Germany. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.186.242.91 (talk) 13:48, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Z3 and Z4 were manufactured in the US and then exported to Europe. U1Quattro (talk) 07:34, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Biasedness[edit]

After reading this article and the article on the BMW M Coupé, I feel that the editors are very biased towards the Z3 iteration of both of the models. This is unfair and goes against Wikipedia's neutrality policy. Equal importance should be given to both the Z3 and the Z4. We editors are not the automotive press who should be biased towards a single model just because it looked better and had more fame. U1Quattro (talk) 07:40, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

Within each generation, there is much in common between the M Coupe and M Roadster models. Therefore I propose to merge BMW M Coupé and BMW M Roadster, to prevent WP:FORK. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 20:59, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I second that. U1Quattro (talk) 14:04, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
