Beginning Dates of Service for Current Council Members[edit]

A number of the dates for the year of election in the Table of present Council Members were blank. I have filled in the information from one of two sources. In most cases the information was available on the member's web page for that district. I found the first one with an internet search and then for the others I just changed the district number. For example, the beginning of James Kraft's term was listed on the following page:

http://www.baltimorecitycouncil.com/district1/

For a couple of the council members there was no information on the beginning date of their term. For those I did an online search and found a web page at the Maryland Government website that provided the information. For example, Pete Welch's district web page had very little info on it. The Maryland government web page for councilman Welch is:

http://msa.maryland.gov/msa/mdmanual/36loc/bcity/leg/html/msa15524.html

Some of these pages only say that they have been representing the district "since" a particular date. Unless the page that I obtained the information said something to the contrary, I am assuming that date represents their service as a result of an election. That's the category for that column in the table. One member's page said since her "appointment." I used that info and then added a note of explanation.

Since I didn't see any citations for the dates in the table, I'm assuming we don't have to provide references for this information because it is a matter in the public record. Ileanadu (talk) 16:04, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Map?[edit]

This entry would benefit a lot from a map of the 13 districts. Bangabandhu (talk) 01:11, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
