Background[edit]

  • Any info about the flag bearer for the closing ceremony?
  • Sadly, no, I expect such information has been lost to time, and may be a problem for all Nagano articles going forward. Courcelles (talk) 14:19, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speed skating[edit]

  • Add links in the prose to the individal events that Veldkamp competed in
  • "and would go on to represent Belgium at the 2002 Winter Olympics and 2006 Winter Olympics." - reword toand the 2006 Winter Olympics.
  • "He went out early and set a new world record" - link world record to List of world records in speed skating
  • "only to two more world records set that day," - change to only for two more world records to be set that day,
  • "he took part in the 1,500 metres," - how about participated for some variety?
  • "and finished with a time of 13 minutes and 29 seconds," - finished fourth

Reference[edit]

  • Reference 8 is missing Sports Reference as its publisher

That is my lot. This article will be put on hold for the time being. MWright96 (talk) 10:34, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Everything either fixed or responded to. Thanks for the review, MWright96. Courcelles (talk) 14:21, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Courcelles: Great. Can now promote this article to GA class. I'll overlook the flag bearer for the closing ceremony point since that info cannot be found. MWright96 (talk) 18:38, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
