Requested move 9 May 2018[edit]

The result of the move request was: Move to Bike the Drive. We have a consensus to change the capitalization, but not to add the "MB". Cúchullain ^t/c 21:02, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bike The Drive → MB Bike the Drive – the name of this page needs to be changed to the new official name of the event, "MB Bike the Drive" in order to reference our sponsor, MB Financial Bank Sarmarclar (talk) 20:47, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia does not necessarily use official names, per WP:OFFICIAL. Instead, Wikipedia uses the common name in reliable secondary sources. "Bike the Drive" receives more than 60x the Google hits of "MB Bike the Drive," and gets 10 times as many hits on Google News, so I oppose this move request. However, the capitalization should be changed to the standard Bike the Drive. Dekimasuよ! 21:28, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose move, but standardize capitalization. Given the use of "our" in the request, there appears to be a conflict of interest involved. Even if there were no COI, there is a clear precedent to avoid sponsor names in these circumstances. However, I would not oppose the capitalization fix proposed above.
