The times, they are a'changin'[edit]

Super Chevy (5/94, p.16) dates the tube chassis car to '74. Are they wrong? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 07:56, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I updated the link to the Motorsport Hall of Fame of America. I've found them to be wrong before in other articles. The best thing to do is to find a third (even better a fourth) reliable source and see if there is agreement. Sound good? Royalbroil 04:54, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Works for me. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 21:25, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not planetary[edit]

“Jenkins raced in the clutchless planetary gear transmission era” is incorrect. “Most of these wins were won with a four-speed manual transmission” is correct. An American 4 speed manual is not a planetary gear transmission. Compare the Manual transmission article with the planetary gear one.

An American automatic trans was a clutchless (not really, there are clutches in one) planetary gear transmission, but I doubt that there were ever a majority of automatics between 1965-1975, much less an “era”.Sammy D III (talk) 18:49, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
