VoL albums list removed since it duplicates (and was at odds with) the Vigilantes of Love Discography. This practics is in keeping with other examples: Paul McCartney vs The Beatles, Michael Knott vs LSU (band), Don Henley and Glenn Frey vs The Eagles. Dl2000 00:51, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Woody Guthrie Legend[edit]

The section entitled "the Woody Guthrie Legend" is not adequately cited and seems an unlikely story since the information I have gleaned about Woody Guthrie and the Brooklyn State Hospital indicate that it was a mental health hospital. An unlikely place to take a ten year old boy with minor head trauma. I have deleted it. feel free to reinstate it with the proper citation.Enneagon (talk) 04:37, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Although the most recent re-add claimed this was from a Flagpole magazine interview in 2007, the closest thing to a Mallonee/Guthrie connection found on flagpole.com archives was something from 2000, about how some of the VoL lyrics were "in appreciation of what Woody Guthrie did". A far cry from the supposed Woody Guthrie legend. Dl2000 (talk) 19:37, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Should mention that the one Flagpole article with Mallonee which mentioned Guthrie is here - nothing about any hospital in that. Dl2000 (talk) 01:39, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and deleted it. The latest version includes nonsense about almost being cast in "The Wiz". 108.199.8.219 (talk) 07:01, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
