Partnership with Sir Morton Smart[edit]

During my trawl of the London Gazette to expand on his RAMC service, I also found this notice, "No. 38170". The London Gazette. 6 January 1948. which states:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned Sir Morton Smart, K.C.V.O., D.S.O., M.D. and William Eldon Tucker, M.B.E., F.R.C.S. carrying on business as Orthopaedic Surgeons at - 21, Grosvenor Square, London, W.1, under the style or firm of "THE LONDON CLINIC FOR INJURIES" has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of June 1947. All debts due and owing to or by the late firm will be respectively received and paid by the said William Eldon Tucker. The said business will be carried on in the future by the said William Eldon Tucker. As witness our hands this 23rd day of December, 1947.

I coudln't work out how this fitted in to the other things mentioned, so thought I'd jsut mention it here for future reference. David Underdown (talk) 16:47, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
