Source 9, article by Egor Putilov: The journalist has since been exposed as a desinformer. This has been noted in a warning at Aftonbladets web page for that article. Maybe it should effect this wikipedia article or should be noted... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.217.41.188 (talk) 11:51, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV dispute[edit]

Somebody in a "drive-by tagging"-style introduced a NPOV tag to this article without any explanation which is not nice. So, according to the WP rules could you please "clearly and exactly explain which part of the article does not seem to have a NPOV and why. Make some suggestions as to how one can improve the article." Thank you, --Nabak (talk) 13:09, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's kind of hard to make everybody happy especially when it comes to highly disputed events and organisations at the time of war. There will be by nature few "neutral" secondary sources. So the best you can do is to represent both views of the issue, in this case the pro-Russian and the pro-Ukrainian stance which completely shed a different light on what Borot'ba actually is. For one side they are antifascists and radical left, for the others they are reactionary pro-Russian nationalists. When I found the article, it still had a strong bias towards the Pro-Russian POV. --Mcleinn (talk) 20:52, 4 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Borotba is an interesting and developing phenomenon with limited coverage in the press. You are cordially invited to participate in a discussion to determine which sources can be used in the article. Be bold! --Nabak (talk) 13:16, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, and for starters I would recommend to translate the following serious and detailed article from the Ukrainian anarchist platform nihilist.li into English: From petty criminals to murderers. Essay on the political evolution of the stalinists on the example of the organization Borot'ba. Besides that you should follow German news. The Borotba leader Sergej Kiritchuk now lives in Berlin, where he tries to "open doors" for pro-Russian groups to the German left. Recently it was discovered that Kiritchuk tried to organise a lecture of two neo-nazis from Russian National Unity at a leftist cultural center. When German antifascists found out they were duped, the event was cancelled. See the following German article on Indymedia: Von Borot'ba vermittelte Nazi-Veranstaltung abgesagt And, even more recently, the regional liaison office of the federal German LEFT party distanced itself for these and other reasons from Borot'ba and cancelled joined events in Hamburg and Lübeck: [1] and [2] --Mcleinn (talk) 20:36, 4 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Borotba is not interesting and not developing.... Following Ukrainian politics for years now and wp:or made it clear to me the organization is just like FEMEN: they make a lot of noise outside Ukraine (and thus get attention there) but inside Ukraine nobody cares what they do or want... Kharkiv and Odessa at one point could have been an exception; but I believe they lie a lot about there influence on (past) events in Ukraine on their website.... and some gullible extreme left winging Westerners echo their extrapolations on their websites. — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 23:20, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
