Untitled[edit]

Is this page really necessary? To me it look looks more like an elaborate disambiguation page for the common name, Cantil. --Jwinius 16:41, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It should probably be made into a regular disambig page, with the information merged into the appropriate species and subspecies pages. I wrote this one first, before I started the species specific pages, so I wanted to do a general overview. -Dawson 16:53, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

Following a bit of research, it seems that all snakes sometimes referred to an cantils are of the same species, Agkistrodon bilineatus. This is according to the current ITIS taxonomy, in which Taylor's cantil is classified as a subspecies, A. b. taylori. That means there's really no reason for this page to exist any longer. I suggest the contents be moved to the A. bilineatus article shortly. This page should simply become a redirect. --Jwinius 16:44, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
