I received the following note on this article: "Hi, perhaps this isn't the correct place to make changes but maybe you could help me. Charlie White's bio says that he is Jewish, and I know, since I'm his mother that he is of a Christian religion. My mother married my stepfather, who is Jewish and she adopted his religion and traditions and we often share in the religious festivities with them. My mother led a reporter from the Jewish News to believe that Charlie is also Jewish and he printed it in his paper. And evidently, if something is printed in a paper, other papers will just assume it to be true. However, I can assure you that as much as we love the Jewish religion, traditions and people, we are not Jewish. Please make the correction. The following text was in the bio. It was supported by a number of RSs. But for the moment, given the above, I'm moving it here, along with its references. Over time, I expect that more will be written on the subject -- if the initial statement turns out to have been true and that is verifiable, it can be moved back in.

For the record, in February 2013, Jacqueline White's helpful note (quoted above) was confirmed by The Detroit Jewish News, which issued a formal correction after White and Davis won their gold medal in Sochi. They explained that the initial report about White had been based on information from an apparently reliable source that turned out the be incorrect. L'Equipe allegations

In Feburary 2014, the French sports newspaper L'Équipe reported that according to an anonymous senior Russian coach, Russia and the United States have set up a “proposed barter” to help each other at the Sochi Olympic figure skating events. Specifically, the United States would help Russia win the team gold event, while Russia would reciprocate by supporting White and Davis win gold over defending Olympic champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.

Rewritten paragraph with English sourcing. I feel like this belongs in a broader article about the 2014 Olympics or Ice dancing in general, but I wouldn't contest its inclusion in this article.--Tznkai (talk)

Upon reflection, inclusion in this article would possibly violate WP:BLP and it definitely isn't directly on point. I'll be dropping the next in the appropriate Olympics 2014 article(s), feel free to look into the history of this page.--Tznkai (talk) 18:27, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

Title of the article

Is White a figure skater or an ice dancer? I thought he was the latter. Or, is it all the same thing? I have no idea. From the 2014 Olympics, it seems that he is known for his ice dancing, which dates back to 1997 (when he was age 10). Should the article title reflect what he is notable for (as an ice dancer), or is he equally noted for being a figure skater? Or, like I asked, is it all one and the same?
