Redirected[edit]

I have just redirected Children in need 2011 to this page, as this one was here first. Hope that doesn't cause any problems with the editors of the other page, which was very similar in format and contact. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 22:23, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, about 12 history versions from this evening lost. Not to worry, I'm sure it will be re-edited. Leaky Caldron 22:27, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The history still exists on the redirect page, so it can be retrieved. I can see now that the redirect may cause an issue for a few editors, and for which I do apologise, but having two pages, one matching the established naming format, and another with the lower case "n" was confusing to say the least - and to many more people, especially as (as I have recently noticed) they were both being edited more or less in parallel by different (and even in some cases the same) editors. The longer the two exist in parallel, the more difficult it willbe to unravel in the end. Wikipedia isn't a news page, it is an encyclopedia, so if it takes a little time to bring the article up to the same standards as the previous editions of CiN, then I don't believe it will be too serious, and most people with a current interest in the show will actually be watching it right now.
