Suggestions[edit]

It's always nice to see more well-written Civil War articles. A few suggestions:

  • The organization paragraph breaks up the flow of the narrative. I've attempted to integrate Dyer's organization sections into the unit battle history many times, and understand how tedious it can be. However, it does not seem necessary to repeat the full details of each assignment multiple times. The way you have described the assignments in the prose of the history section, is, I think, a good enough description, although you could mention the XVI Corps artillery assignment before you describe the Mobile Campaign.
  • Are there any secondary sources that mention Cogswell's battery? Kges1901 (talk) 23:53, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Kges1901: Thank you for your comments. I am sticking with Dyer's organization for now, but I can see your point. I try to incorporate material from more recent authors (Sears, Cozzens, Shea, etc.) where it's available. Unfortunately, the Cozzens book on Chattanooga didn't mention the unit except in the order of battle, and I don't have any books on Nashville. There is not much information on the Jackson Expedition or Mobile campaign. Djmaschek (talk) 03:09, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
