Merge discussion[edit]
User:Derek Andrews suggested the merging of this article cold milling machine and cold planer and stated they both need considerable rewrite. XFEM Skier (talk) 22:44, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- Support I support this proposal and think it should be merged under the name Cold milling machine. From what I gathered here http://www.pavementrecycling.com/products/coldMilling.aspx at least some consider them to be different but more that planing is a subset of milling in that case. The articles in the current shape definitely don't support the two separate articles. I would actually go further and say that the article should be Asphalt milling and have a section on the machine. I think that would be more useful. Maybe if the content grows they could be separated between the process and the machine but at the time there is not enough information to support that.
