This is pure advertising. Why do we need this article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.177.252.132 (talk) 15:51, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Program behaviour[edit]

Copernic desktop search works very well, and it is free. But it is neither open source and nor under any free licence. The first versions (around 2000) were Adware. Similar products (Google desktop search) call home. Do you have any information whether Copernic contacts its Mamma from time to time? -- Antonen 00:24, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation[edit]

Is it COP-PER-NICK or is it CA-PURN-ICK  ?? (Were having an office debate) 159.105.183.80 17:12, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At any rate, version 3.1 was released on January 12, 2009. Cite: http://www.copernic.com/en/products/desktop-search/home/download.html Measure for Measure (talk) 10:12, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like an advertisement[edit]

There's even a History section... Should be rewritten... --Miguel1626 23:14, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have an opinion on this, except that it doesn't seem any *more* like an advertisement than the Google Desktop page does. In fact they two are quite similar. I guess either both should be rewritten, or neither. (I do notice the pronoun "you" showing up in both, which I agree has something of the flavor of an ad.) The article was evidently written by the company's web marketing agent so, yes, it's unambiguous advertising. I've called for speedy deletion. —Largo Plazo (talk) 18:49, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Owner?[edit]

Who produces = stands behind Copernic, and how do they earn money? There is no advertisement, as far as I see. || (From Germany. Theres is no article about Copernic on the German WP-site.) --85.181.148.255 (talk) 07:44, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
