I have uploaded three photos showing the Corfe Castle-dominated gap in the Purbeck Hills but am not sure which one best illustrates the article (I used Image:Corfe Castle gap 2.JPG, but maybe 3 is better as it shows the length of the hills best)

[edit] Split into Corfe Village and Corfe Castle

This article really needs splitting into Corfe Village and Corfe Castle, I can't believe someone hasn't mentioned it already. The castle and the village are seperate entities, which should have been made obvious by the sheer amount of categories it's currently filling. MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 17:05, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I'd agree, it's a bit confusing as it is.

One problem I can see though is both village and castle have the same name; we could have a Corfe Castle (village) and Corfe Castle (castle) page I suppose. What say you? Moonraker12 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:55, 7 June 2009 (UTC).

It's been a couple of months and there wasn't any other comment here, so I've been bold and done it; I trust that's all right with everyone. Moonraker12 (talk) 18:25, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Dorset WikiProject assessment - proposed change

I propose changing the above WikiProject's 'importance' rating of this article from 'High' to 'Mid', the reason being that this article is only concerned with the village - the castle (which I agree is of high importance) has its own article. PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 22:32, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
