Stuff[edit]

I added an info box and deleted the part about the axe.

The trouble with deleting stuff like that is that someone (maybe not now, but maybe a few years later) will add it back. I think it is better to have this mentioned in some way, but rightly relegated to its own section or just a link to the appropriate article or list. Carcharoth 14:15, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Direct Line[edit]

What does direct line mean? Does it mean father to son to son and so on. Or does it mean that the kingship never passed through marriage? 96.238.211.171 (talk) 19:17, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, for Tolkien it's father to child anyway. If you compare the death of Helm Hammerhand of Rohan and his children, his sister-son (Nephew) takes the throne and Tolkien describes that as the second line. This also happens with the third line after the death of Théoden GimliDotNet^{(Speak to me,Stuff I've done)} 19:32, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
