Hello fellow IP editor, I largely agree with you on this issue, if a User can change it to 'of partial Arab descent' or something along those lines to be on the safe side. The study linked is still open to it: "Assuming a generation time of 30 years, the admixture dates for Danagla and Mahas predate the Arab expansion in the 7th century, and may suggest that the migrations and admixture predate Islamic conquest. However, the confidence intervals overlap with the 7th century, and these admixture estimates largely coincide with the Arab expansion into the northeast of Sudan. It is known from historic sources that Arabic groups encountered the Nubians first in the 7th century, and were held back from advancing further into the Sahel until the fall of Dongola in 1315/1316AD and the collapse of the Kingdom of Makuria. Danagla DNA[edit]

There is a decription of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) which includes Danagla dna, as well Northeastern African and East African dna. (PLOS) Northeast African genomic variation shaped by the continuity of indigenous groups and Eurasian migrations. Figure 2. The Danagla are largely Nilotic (dark blue) and European/CEU (green) at K=4. There is also a large Somali (pink) component at K=10. And a medium blue component at K=16 that is largest among the Danagla.

Danagla designation as a "Tribe"[edit]

Dear Editors Greetings Kindly correct the designation of the Danagla as a tribe. The Danagla them selves are made up of different tribes that share the same ethno-linguistic traits i.e. they speak Dongolawi. Danagla in itself is defined as "men of Dongla " or " residents of the city of Dongola", a tribe implies that every Dongolawi shares the same genealogies. that is incorrect please consider changing that misnomer.
