Date of birth/age at death[edit]

This Facebook post says that Todd was born in 1931, and was 49 when he died. Our text says he was 48, and is referenced to newspapers which are paywalled. Which is correct? Kablammo (talk) 16:25, 31 December 2018 (UTC). Pinging Zigzig20s.[reply]

I've just double-checked the two obituaries in The Tennessean that I used as RS, and they both say 48. Facebook is not an RS; we need an RS for his full date of birth. (The website of the foundation would be more reliable than their Facebook page, although it wouldn't be third party...) I think we should keep 48 for now. By the way, I would highly recommend requesting an account on Newspapers.com via the Wikipedia Library if you don't have one.Zigzig20s (talk) 17:09, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This may not count as a RS either, but the photo of the serviceman's bronze plaque at the base of the headstone shows the 1931 date. The Social Security Death Index could be useful but it seems that it's no longer free.
Nice job on the article. There's more detail on him in the article linked from the Foundation's page. Regards, Kablammo (talk) 21:31, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I like figuring out who is behind street names. There is some info we could add from this article (his father was a Baptist minister and Todd was involved with the Poor People's Campaign), but do you know where it was published please? We need to know the publication/newspaper to cite it properly.Zigzig20s (talk) 22:11, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, but I will look into it. Kablammo (talk) 00:43, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
